چکیده

Improving software quality remains a key challenge. Software development formal peer inspection has emerged as an effective approach to address this challenge. Software peer inspection aims at detecting and removing software development defects efficiently and early while defects are less expensive to correct. The key research issue is to develop an architecture that supports the “systematic” process of software development formal peer inspection. In a major research project sponsored by National Academies’ National Research Council (NRC) and NASA, the author has led the research to develop Web-based enterprise architecture for software development formal peer inspection. The research results have been used as the foundation in this research project, led by the author and co-sponsored by NASA, IBM, and HP. The research focus is to enhance the mobility features in the Web service-oriented system for software development formal peer inspection. This paper presents the new architecture and its prototype.

Context-aware Service Coordination for Mobile e-Health Applications

In this paper, we present a general architecture for service delivery and coordination in intelligent peer-to-peer (IP2P) environments that has been developed within the CASCOM research project. Our essential approach is an innovative combination of agent technology, Semantic Web Services, peer-to-peer, context-awareness, and mobile computing for intelligent peer-to-peer mobile service environm...

Aligning ontology-based development with service oriented systems

This paper argues for placing ontologies at the centre of the software development life cycle for distributed component-based systems and, in particular, for service-oriented systems. It presents an ontology-based development process which relies on three levels of abstraction using ontologies: architecture layer, application layer and domain layer. The paper discusses the key roles of ontologi...

Mobile Access to the Services in Ambient Networks

Ambient Networks will enable mobile terminals to communicate in an environments populated by several networks, devices, services and artefacts in a transparent way to the final user. In these scenarios, one way of implementing services uses web service architecture. So it is important to study how these mobile devices will integrate efficiently to access web services. Because of the reduced cap...

Proactively Composing Web Services as Tasks by Semantic Web Agents

The chapter presents the framework for agent-enabled dynamic composition of Semantic Web Services. The approach and the framework have been developed in several research and development projects by ISRG and IOG. The core of the methodology is the new understanding of a Semantic Web Service as a capability of an intelligent software agent supplied with the proper ontological description. It is d...
